Gamepoint Life Aquatic "Boy" - hips A/A, elbows 0/0!
✧ ✧ ✧
Gamepoint Life Aquatic "Boy",
second time ever on pheasants (at the first time, I
heard, he had about 8 contacts during the
day, inc his first real point), from the
beginning of the day, starting off with search,
followed by a situation, where neither me or
the owner really believe there would be a
bird, he resolves to tracking the bird and
flushes, and goes after, followed by a second
bird in the air, and after he goes. And after
that he blew us away with three very firm,
calm birdsituations like an old dog, with a
calm point, fast, spot-on flush on command
and a perfect stop. Still had some good goin'
left at the end of the day ... A month before
this dog was not really pointing yet
(owner has not been that active with
pointing work, Boy has had some
odd contacts with partridges before that) nor
has he been that well trained on stop-whistle.
The intention is to use him mainly on wood-
birds - grouse, capercaillie etc.

At beaver hunts it can be handy, if you have
a dog that happily fetches anything, even in
February, from freezing water and ice! Our
dogs seem to really love beavers and of
course, Säde is known for cooling herself off
between ice chunks even in cold Nordic mid-
winter.

last fall - Säde's first birds shot down from her points and
birdwork.

Tiki pointing, 10,5 years old
At the annual meeting of The Swedish
Weimaraner Club our Tiki was awarded a
Breeding Prize in Gold (she previously has
Bronze and Silver)! This is a prize for
breeding dogs, who's offspring have shown
excellent working qualities. Every offspring
gets only it's highest working trial/test results
counted once, plus 1-2 points if the dog has
also gotten "Excellent" grade (or even CQ)
from exterior evaluation, highest points for
any single offspring is 10 points and only
results from Nordic countries count. With her
9 Nordic field/test merited puppies from her
two litters with two field trial/hunting
champions (15 puppies total)- including 2
field trial/hunting champions, 4 with field trial
first prizes from Open Class (although only
one prize per dog counted), 2 with a 3-rd
prize from Youth Class in Finland and one
with first prizes from bloodtracking (there is
other puppies that are bloodtracking
champions, but their field trial results were
counted instead) - she right now collected
69 points (her second litter is only 3 years
old). Only few of even the best swedish
breeding bitches have as high offspring proof.
Very proud and thankful over our little special
girl!

Gamepoint Operation Snatch "Bruno" has been
to a show again, with nice results -
Excellent, Finnish CAC (his 2nd) and Best
of Breed . Judge's words of him: "Masculine,
well sized & typical of breed. Nice head,
good eyes & ears. Good top line. Stray
(straight??) croup & well placed tail. Good
chest. Strong bones, nice angulations in front
and behind. Good feet. Nice movements seen
from all sides. Nice coat & temper. Well
handled." Judge Erik Petersen, Denmark. Well
done, Mirva!

✧ ✧ ✧
Another show result for Säde - CAC, BOB and a nice description from judge Andrzej
Kazmierski (Poland): "Big but proportional,
good head, fluent in outline, but a little long
in loins, deeply angulated on behind, moves
freely with temperament, but the tail is going
up in movement, excellently presented".

Säde with her CAC and CACIB rosettes from
Estonian Winner 2014 show, with her last
fall's field trial first prizes she can now
become a show champion . Judge Jelena
Kruus commented: "beautiful young female".

Tiki-Eazac kid Bruno (Gamepoint Operation
Snatch) got his last Finnish CAC with BOS
and CACIB , judge was Delerue Pedro
Sanches from Portugal, who was happy to
"see proper sized weimaraners in Finland",
he liked the hunting type of weimaraners and
said about Bruno: "Good size. Strong head.
Compact body. Good neck. Deep chest.
Topline could be more firm. Good angulations
& movement. A bit close behind. Correct
coat." Well done once again, showing your
hunting boy, Mirva!

Grey partridge
embryo at about 4 days into incubation - that
pulsating little heart is not bigger than a tip
of a needle ... You can see it even a day
or a little earlier, in some eggs that show
through better, without even the blood
vessels, leaving the impression that the heart
muscle is the first thing that develops ....
and then the chick grows around it ... a true
miracle.

Säde after successfully finishing a difficult bloodtrack on a wounded and lost moose, 1 am at night. We saw Säde naturally announcing dead big game (previously discovered this trait in Yaya and Otti), announcing two dead moose by barking at them. I had to let the lead loose towards the end of the track, we lost the dog and it was more than useful, to follow her barking to the moose.

Esti (Gamepoint Bottle Rocket) has passed the Czech Weimaraner Club's bonitation (for stud dogs) with excellent results - in bonitation code he is a standard male with no mistakes. Bonitation takes place under four different judges - one for exterior, one for motion, one for temperament and one for teeth, angulation and bones.
Säde (Gamepoint Painkiller Jane), 3,5 years old, 2nd and 1st prize at elite class field trials , Gotland, on wild grey partridges and pheasants. (grade 6 on field - because we could not show a flush, the wild partridges were very "light", 10 for retrieve; and grade 7 on field and 10 for retrieve). Short of one more first prize for the field championship... Pretty satisfied, after the first day started to recognize my dog more again and she measured up nicely to some of the best. I can often notice her mother in her! Gotland with its springy fields and wild birds (some days not so many met) is said to be not the easiest place, some say it takes some time to get used to, for the dog. Definitely different, definitely a great place and an experience!

Sweden - Säde with first entry 10/10/10
points (water/track/search square, EKL -
elite class), Otti 10/10 points (water/track,
ÖKL - open class), both 3,5 years old right
now.

Säde and Otti with a calf they had
blood-tracked for a while; when we
got to the river, the dogs went
quickly over despite freezing
temperatures and deep water, as
usually, and we heard them suddenly
bark with angry voices quite near. A
hunter that was the first one of us over
the river (I was still balancing on a
fallen tree, trying not to fall
into the freezing water) could see the
calf attacking the dogs and Säde got
hit again.
When we arrived, the calf
was quickly put out of suffering.
